The reason I contacted House Buyers of America was because I had an investment property in need of extensive repairs. Had I tasked myself with this burden it would have taken up a chunk of my time – that I did not already have - plus would have been quite expensive. nI had already contacted several businesses who advertise through direct marketing mailers that they purchase properties without requiring improvements and upgrades; but I decided to sell my property to House Buyers because out of all I had called you actually wanted to purchase it. The condition of the home was pretty bad, but you took it off my hands without batting an eye. It was truly like a one stop shop selling this property to you and for a fair price even though I did not think I would ever be able to achieve an acceptable payout.nThe consultant who handled the paperwork process was a very nice man who eased my concerns since I really did not know what to expect from this type of transaction. I especially liked the convenience factor of your company. You took care of everything for me. I did not have to spend any time out of my hectic schedule or any money on the numerous repairs or pay any realtor commission. nI would give House Buyers a 9 out of 10 rating. Don’t let that number worry you because I was a very satisfied client and it would be stretching it to give you a 10 because is no one or company is perfect. In Fairfax County alone there are more people than in the entire state of Montana. My wife and I are at the age where we want peace and quiet versus hustle and bustle. Being senior citizens we had no interest in dealing with a realtor’s instructions on how to make a bed for a showing or making any repairs he/she may deem necessary to sell the home. n After receiving a mailing from your company, we researched your Better Business Bureau rating. My wife was most impressed by seeing that you’ve been in business for 16 years with an A+ rating – which to us meant you are doing something right. nOur dealings with House Buyers of America were exceptionally smooth. All our questions were answered quickly and to our satisfaction plus all your promises held true from start to finish. After Due Diligence House Buyers set a date and stuck to it. It was nice to not have to worry about delays or extensions which could happen with individuals getting a loan.n We have already told friends and family about you guys. Some of them are very interested since we sold our house with no fuss no muss. I’m not sure if they will take our advice and sell their homes through you but we definitely rate you a 10 for our overall experience and would use you again if the situation presents itself.

I was looking to sell an older property that was not currently habitable. I asked a real estate agent friend of mine to come by for an assessment and we concluded that I had three options in which I could sell it. One was to completely renovate and sell it for top dollar, which would take the longest and (in my case) require a loan. The second option was to put a little money into it and sell it as a “Fixer Upper.” The last option was to seek out a company or person that would buy it “As-Is.” Knowing I didn’t have time to supervise renovations, this seemed more like the route I wanted to take because I would have to do nothing but sell the house.nnIn the slew of mail I received from various companies offering to buy my house As-Is, I found your letter to be more professional than the others and found the House Buyers’ employees to be open and transparent while walking me through the process. I had inherited a property with my nephew
I had inherited a property with my nephew from one of our family members who passed away in Maryland. Knowing we would split the proceeds from the sale of the estate, we wanted to get the best deal we could find while disposing of it quickly. nWe had contacted other companies like Express Homebuyers that we found online but the presented offers were way too low and unacceptable. I had held on to my Mom’s home for three years and then I finally contacted an agent to help me. I inherited this home when my father passed away in 2008. I knew I needed to sell the home but with it being the last connection to my parents, I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. So we decided to rent it out because of my need to hang on to the property. n We live an hour and a half away so it was increasingly difficult to keep an eye on the home and unfortunately our tenants didn’t love the house as my family had. Many things went into disrepair and the home needed a lot of updates. Once our tenant moved out and the house was now vacant, we still were responsible for taxes and insurance but were no longer getting rent in return.
