You guys are great! So easy to work with. Everything got explained in terms I could understand. nI inherited a home that was originally my grandparents then bequeathed to my Mom upon their deaths. Since my Mom recently passed away, it was left to me. She couldn’t bare to part with her childhood home and while I understand that, I couldn’t continue to pay taxes on a home that continued to deteriorate more and more every day. nNo one had lived in this house for several years. When my Mom fell ill, she moved in with me and I bought a home using the proceeds of sale of her property, so I could care for her and also keep my son in the same school district. We didn’t want to be landlords. We found ourselves with a condo to sell when we received a mailing from House Buyers of America. From the very first phone call to signing the final paperwork, the process was stress-free and easy. Great Experience
My siblings and I inherited our father’s property. He hadn’t lived there for over 5 years and the house was run down, had crap from every decade known to man in it, and we just didn’t want to deal with any of it. Your offer was fair. Your time frame was realistic. We signed a contract to close within 30 days and you guys rocked right through all the obstacles and when I got the call from Settlements, I was shocked when she said, “we can close on Friday if you’re ready.” As a famous cartoon would say “that’s all folks”. We are all happy. I think our father would be happy too.
Moving Makes Big Decisions Happen
My husband had been transferred south (yay us) for his job which meant we had a lot of thinking to do. Having two houses would be impossible. Did we want to rent or buy in our new town? Did we want to sell our Maryland home or become landlords? nWhere we landed in decision was we would buy in the new town and sell in the old. This again initiated a lot of thinking. Would we upgrade our home originally built in the 80s or would we just throw it on the market and see what would happen? After contacting a realtor, the latter was going to be impossible. She wasn’t even optimistic that we would be able to pay off our current loan with the condition of house. She further let the steam our of sails by saying it would be around $35,000 or more to get the home up to the “2018” standards that people are looking for when buying. nMy discussions with my husband was more along the lines of what if we found a buyer who wanted to do all the upgrades after we sold it to them. His response was there aren’t many people who want to build sweat equity. With this we decided to look into investment firms who buy, renovate, and resell homes. nOnce we did the research, House Buyers of America won hands down. Being A+ rated with the Better Business Bureau plus having a lot of great reviews on Facebook we felt at ease giving you a call. It was a fairly easy process and everyone in your office was pleasant and a joy to work with. You definitely get 5 stars from us.n
Inherited Property
After inheriting a property with my brother and sister who both live out of state, I was charged with the one to find a buyer. The house hadn't been lived in for over 5 years and was in poor shape. When I got your letter in the mail, it was perfect timing. I know you probably hear that a lot but, in my case, it couldn’t be truer. I had recently been given my brother’s estate to take care of and my biggest worry was the house. I didn’t have the money to keep paying it and considering it was nearing foreclosure I certainly didn’t want to be wrapped up in that battle. nnEveryone around me, including my attorney, tried to talk me out of calling. They said it was a bad idea and your company was just a scam. But from my first conversation I felt comfortable. Even though I “had” to sell this property and I “had” to do it immediately, House Buyers’ employees never made me feel bad nor did any of you have the attitude of “you have to do this and I’m going to take full advantage of that fact”. The sales man was helpful and not pushy at all. I never once felt put down nor found anyone to be rude. nnDue to the condition of the house, your offer was more than fair. I also felt at ease as we cruised along in the process because while I didn’t know the laws, rules, and regulations – you all did. We got to the finish line in plenty of time and looking back on it now – I have NO qualms and I’m still very happy with the outcome. nnWhile I advise that everyone takes care of their business beforehand, I also have no issues in recommending your company to friends, family, or co-workers either.n

My husband and I wanted to relocate further south plus downsize and after receiving your mailing we decided to give you a call. nWe recognized your company was well established and had been in business for quite a while but we were also somewhat unsure of how your process would go. We had used a realtor in the past and knew they would install a lockbox causing a bunch of people to be traipsing through our home at all hours of the day and evening. House Buyers on the other hand, was agreeable to allowing us to remain the home until the day of settlement and having little to no access inside without a prior appointment. We knew there were repairs needing to be done but you didn’t ask us to make any improvements preceding your purchase of our property.nThe thing I liked best was about the process was it was easy from start to finish. We closed in the time frame we wanted and all our expectations were met while receiving exceptional customer service.nI would rate House Buyers an 8 or 9 because there is always room for improvement in all we do in life and I would definitely recommend you to friends, family, or neighbors.
