Our growing family had us bursting at the seams within our 3 bedroom townhouse. My wife and I decided rather than working with a realtor to negotiate with buyers on a price and repairs we would research online several companies who advertise quick turnaround purchases. nI chose House Buyers of America mainly because some of their competitors were unresponsive when I reached out for information while others offered much less than what I was looking for. The Real Estate Consultant I worked with was straight forward and answered all my questions about how much I would be able to apply towards my new home after the original loan was paid off. nIt would have made the transaction a little easier had we been out of the house already as all of my family concerns were not met, however, the settlement happened as scheduled and I was in my new home in less than 30 days.nThe staff at House Buyers was courteous and professional at all times. I would definitely recommend them to friends, family, and coworkers.

We have bought and sold 10 homes in the past and when it came time to sell our last one we interviewed realtors. It was suggested that we would need to put forth a lot of effort and expense to get our property up to selling standards, which we didn’t want to do.nThat’s when we received a letter in the mail from your company. At first we were a little skeptical but after reviewing House Buyers on the BBB, we decided to call and find out if it would be possible to sell our house to you. The REC contacted us immediately and addressed our concerns. After our conversation we felt more at ease and worked out a favorable offer for both parties. nOur neighbors had a contract on their property before we struck a deal with House Buyers and our house closed before theirs since they took the traditional route of using a realtor. It also seemed as though contractors were in and out of their house at all hours every day repairing or updating something. I can’t even imagine the cost they incurred with all that hassle.nOur only complaint is we did feel a bit rushed and would have liked more time to review our documents for closing. The title company sent us the seller’s docs one day before closing and expected us to speed through the HUD without any explanations. If we hadn’t been experienced in selling a home we could’ve gotten into an even bigger mess. nAt the end though I would definitely recommend you guys to friend, family, and coworkers because this was the smoothest transaction we’ve ever had in real estate.

I had one last rental. The house was a wreck. It needed a full overhaul. I was in the mindset of “let the younger generation deal with this mess” because I knew how time consuming the process would be. Not to mention having to bid out a contractor then babysit them while the work was being done simply didn’t put me in the mood to renovate and flip. n So I called you guys to explain the situation that I had done many times in the past myself. After the main higher up reviewed the file presented to him, it was determined the deal could proceed as originally struck. n I asked for closing to occur within 10 to 14 days and House Buyers made it happen. The gal who scheduled everything was on top of it. She under promised yet over delivered which is how any good company should conduct their customer service. n I would recommend you to anyone in my situation or even to someone who needed to sell their house quickly because House Buyers doesn’t lollygag! They go full steam ahead and work hard so all parties leave the table with satisfaction.

I lived in my house for many years but wanted to pay less in taxes so my wife and I moved to Virginia where our kids lived. We thought possibly one of our children would maybe want the house someday, so we left it empty. Unfortunately, with two rough winters and the home unoccupied, there was irreversible damage. I didn’t want to spend the money on repairs or supervise the contractor since it was a thirty-minute drive (which actually equates to two hours in traffic) between the two houses.n On top of the repair cost and time spent on my part, to sell it with a realtor would’ve meant another 3% down the drain in commissions. Thank you for making the sale of my home such a remarkable experience. As I explained to the initial consultant I worked with, I had recently retired and needed a less expensive house to live in. I knew my current property needed a lot of refurbishing to get it up to “sale” quality and I didn’t want to sink the money into doing that. nI decided to google companies that would buy houses not ready for a retail sale. After interviewing three companies and all the offers were presented to me, House Buyers of America offered me twenty thousand more than the other guys. While I’m elated with your company and the ease of settlement, I originally based my decision to sell to you, strictly off of financial reasoning.nYour company started negotiations the same day we spoke, and it clearly was not his first rodeo because his knowledge showed through! In fact, all of those who assisted me were quite good at delivering great customer service. There was nothing required of me that I did not know about. I was pleasantly surprised that settlement went down faster than expected and I got my money to relocate down south. nI appreciate professionalism when I am conducting a business transaction and would say my overall experience with your service was exceptional. After a recent death in the family, I decided to sell my single-family home in Maryland because I needed to downsize into a smaller property that did not have a lifetime of memories behind every closed door. Plus, with the property being over 2000 square feet, it was simply too much “home” for just me to take care of.nThe information I received in the mail concerning your company stated that House Buyers of America bought houses using quick time frames and without charging a 3 or 6% real estate commission fee to finish the transaction. Even though I had never heard of your business I decided to call the number on the mailer. I requested more information regarding your services and a real estate consultant contacted me the next day. I looked around at your competitors, but I found your process to be more advantageous plus you were easier than working with a realtor. nEven though I was selling my home to you, I did not have to worry about paying any commissions which saved me money. I was also away a lot so keeping my house clean for scores of realtors to bring in their clients who were looking to buy would have required me to hire a maid service to clean once a week because I’m sure the muddy shoes would not have been removed and all that dirt would’ve been tracked in. nI especially appreciate the information and advice you have provided.
